Terms & Privacy
Licence terms and privacy
The plain-language terms for using InvenCore, and what happens to your information. Last updated 30 October 2026.
Terms of use
InvenCore, the InvenCore Counter app for Android, the InvenCore Online Store and this website are provided by Codaphics Private Limited ("we", "us"). By installing or using any of them you agree to these terms. If you are using InvenCore for a business, you agree on behalf of that business.
1. Your licence
- InvenCore is licensed, not sold. When you buy a licence we send you a licence file for your shop. It lets you install InvenCore on your Main PC and connect counters (Windows PCs, browsers and Android phones) to it.
- A licence carries your shop's name and email. It is for your shop only. Don't share, resell or publish it.
- Some licences have an end date, shown in Settings → License. After it, and any grace period your licence allows, InvenCore asks for a new licence file before you can carry on billing. Your data stays on your PC.
- The free demo licence is for trying InvenCore and stops working on the date shown on the download page. You can switch to a full licence without losing data.
2. Prices, payment and refunds
- We quote a price for your shop on request. The quote says what is included. GST is charged as the law requires and you get a tax invoice from us.
- A licence file works as soon as it is delivered, so fees are not refundable once it has been sent, unless the law requires a refund or we agree to one in writing.
3. Updates and support
- InvenCore checks for updates when the PC is online and installs them itself. Updates can add, change or remove features.
- Support is by email at support@invencore.in, and by phone or WhatsApp where your quote includes it.
4. What you are responsible for
- Your tax filings. InvenCore prepares GST invoices, GSTR returns and accounts from what you enter. Check them before you issue or file them. You, or your tax professional, remain responsible for what is filed with the GST portal and other authorities.
- Your backups. Your data lives on your own PC. Use Data Backup in Settings regularly and keep copies somewhere safe. We cannot recover data from a PC that has failed or been lost.
- Your customers' information. Names, phone numbers, addresses and GSTINs you record are your business records. Handle them lawfully.
- Your hardware and network. PCs, printers, scanners, phones, Wi-Fi and internet access.
- Third-party accounts. For the Online Store you use your own web hosting, Shiprocket and Razorpay accounts, under their own terms and charges.
5. What you may not do
- Copy, modify, reverse engineer or decompile InvenCore, except where the law allows it.
- Remove, bypass or fake the licence check, or make licence files.
- Rent, resell or sublicense InvenCore, or offer it as a service to other businesses, without our written agreement.
- Use InvenCore for anything unlawful, including issuing false invoices.
6. Your data is yours
Everything you enter in InvenCore belongs to you. We don't receive it and don't claim any rights to it. InvenCore can export your invoices, ledgers and returns to Excel so you can take them anywhere.
7. Warranty and liability
- We build InvenCore carefully and fix problems we find, but it is provided "as is", without any promise that it will be free of errors or suit every business.
- As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits, lost data, tax interest or penalties, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to the licence fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Ending the licence
You can stop using InvenCore at any time. We may end a licence if these terms are broken, for example by sharing or faking a licence file. Either way, your data remains on your PC and you can keep your exports and backups.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Let us try to settle any problem first by writing to support@invencore.in. If we can't, the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have jurisdiction.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. Using InvenCore after a change means you accept the new terms.
Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal data Codaphics Private Limited handles and why, in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.
What InvenCore sends us: nothing
- InvenCore keeps your business data in a database on your own PC. It does not send your invoices, stock, customers or accounts to us, and it has no analytics or tracking.
- Your licence is checked on the PC itself. No account and no sign-in with us are needed.
- To check for updates, InvenCore and the Android app download release files from GitHub, which sees your IP address as with any download.
- Counters talk only to your Main PC over your shop's network. The Online Store sync goes between your Main PC and your own shop website.
What we collect
- When you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp: your name, phone number, email address, shop name and city, and what you tell us.
- When you buy a licence: your shop's name and email (these go in the licence file), and the billing details we need for our tax invoice, such as your address and GSTIN. Payments go through your bank or payment app. We don't see or store card or UPI PINs.
- When you ask for support: anything you choose to send, such as screenshots or a backup file. We use a backup only to fix your problem and delete it afterwards.
This website
- It sets no cookies and has no analytics or advertising trackers.
- Like any website, the server keeps standard access logs (IP address, page, browser and time) for security and fault-finding.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts, and installers download from GitHub. Those services see your IP address under their own privacy policies.
How we use it
To answer you, prepare quotes, issue and renew licences, send our invoices, provide support, keep required records and meet our legal duties. We don't sell or rent your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
Only with those who help us run the business, such as our email provider, bank and chartered accountant, and with authorities when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are talking with you and for up to a year after. Licence and billing records are kept for as long as tax and company law requires, currently up to eight years.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent you have given, or nominate someone to act for you. We will still keep records that the law requires us to keep. Write to support@invencore.in and we will reply within 30 days.
Your customers' data
When you record your own customers in InvenCore or the Online Store, you decide how that data is used and you are responsible for it. If we set up or host your Online Store for you, we handle your customers' data only to run it, on your instructions.
Security and children
We protect the data we hold with reasonable safeguards. Our products are meant for businesses and are not directed at children.
Grievance officer
For any complaint about how we handle your data, write to the Grievance Officer, Codaphics Private Limited, at support@invencore.in. We acknowledge complaints within 48 hours and aim to resolve them within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.
