System requirements

What you need to run InvenCore

InvenCore runs on an ordinary shop PC. Counters, phones and the Online Store are optional add-ons to it. Jump to:

Main PC (Windows)

The PC that holds your data and licence. Every counter bills from it.

Windows: Windows 10 or Windows 11, 64-bit
Memory: 4 GB RAM or more
Disk space: About 500 MB for the app (the installer is 87.3 MB), plus room for your data and backups
Screen: 1366 × 768 or larger works best. The window needs at least 960 × 640.
Internet: Not needed to bill. Used to download InvenCore, install updates and sync an Online Store.
Invoice printer: Any printer Windows can print to, for A4 tax invoices and barcode label sheets
Receipt printer: Optional. A 58 mm or 80 mm thermal printer installed in Windows, over USB or the network.
Barcode scanner: Optional. A USB scanner that types into the SKU box like a keyboard, which most do.

Extra tills that bill from the Main PC. They need no licence of their own.

Counter PC: Same as the Main PC: Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
Browser counter: Any PC or tablet with an up-to-date Chrome or Edge
Network: The same shop network or Wi-Fi as the Main PC
Main PC: Switched on with InvenCore open while counters bill. Allow InvenCore through Windows Firewall when Windows asks.

Turns a phone into a counter of your Main PC.

Android: Android 7.0 or newer
Camera: Optional, for scanning barcodes. You can also type the SKU.
Receipt printer: Optional. A Bluetooth thermal printer (58 or 80 mm), or a network printer on port 9100.
Network: The same Wi-Fi as the Main PC

Your own shop website, linked to InvenCore on the Main PC.

Hosting: A web host with PHP 8.2 and MySQL 8, on your own domain with HTTPS
Delivery and payments: Optional. Your own Shiprocket account for courier delivery and your own Razorpay account for online payment.
Main PC: Online now and then, so stock and orders can sync
